This Seongsu half-day itinerary combines one cafe, a few shops and a walk in Seoul Forest. The route links the Seongsu cafe and shopping streets with Seoul Forest.

Allow roughly four to five hours, including a meal and walking. The schedule is an editorial suggestion. Cafe hours, exhibitions and pop-up shops change, so choose your actual stops before setting out.
Start at Seongsu Station; Finish at Seoul Forest Station
This suggested route runs from Seongsu Station on Line 2 to two neighboring Seongsui-ro venues, then west toward Seoul Forest. Finish at Seoul Forest Station on the Suin–Bundang Line. Save each address separately and use our Seoul subway guide for transfers. The times below are planning allowances, not measured walking times.
11:00 AM: Daelim Changgo Cafe, 78 Seongsui-ro
Daelim Changgo’s Korea Tourism Organization listing describes a former rice mill converted into a cafe and gallery. This makes it a concrete stop for visitors interested in Seongsu’s industrial buildings. The published hours are 11 AM–10 PM, with closures on Seollal and Chuseok day; check the visit date before setting out.
Allow about an hour for ordering and a seated break. Check available seating before paying if resting is your priority.
Noon: MUSINSA Store Seongsu @ Daelim Changgo
The fashion store at 74 Seongsui-ro is a separate business from the cafe at number 78. Seoul’s official listing gives an approach from Seongsu Station Exit 3 and opening hours of 11 AM–10 PM. Its neighboring location lets you browse without making a temporary pop-up the essential stop in your day.
Allow 30–45 minutes, then leave time for the walk toward Seoul Forest. For a particular brand event, confirm dates and booking requirements separately; an event may require a separate reservation.
1:00 PM: Lunch at Somunnan Seongsu Gamjatang
For a specific lunch stop, consider Somunnan Seongsu Gamjatang (소문난성수감자탕), at 45 Yeonmujang-gil. After the Seongsui-ro shopping stop, continue to this address for lunch, then head toward Seoul Forest. Visit Seoul’s restaurant listing places it 229 metres from Seongsu Station Exit 4 on Line 2 and lists 24-hour daily opening.
What to order for one person
Gamjaguk siksa (감자국식사) is the individual pork-bone soup meal, distinct from a shared gamjatang pot. DiningCode’s published menu lists the regular meal at ₩12,000 and the ugeoji leafy-greens version at ₩13,000. To request one regular meal, show staff: 감자국식사 일반 하나 주세요. — “One regular gamjaguk meal, please.”
The restaurant can have a queue, so keep the park walk flexible if lunch runs late. Check the current menu before ordering.
2:00 PM: A Short Seoul Forest Walk
Use the visitor center as your orientation point, then choose the Cultural Arts Park area, including the large lawn and family yard, before returning toward your chosen entrance. This is a suggested out-and-back walk, rather than a promise to cover the entire park. Allow 45–60 minutes and use the on-site map to adjust for closures, steps and your energy.
Seoul’s official park guide lists the park address as 273 Ttukseom-ro and the approach from Seoul Forest Station Exits 3 and 4. General park admission is free, but individual facilities have separate hours. Finish by returning to that station; save the exit and entrance you actually use to make the return easier.
Allow extra time for queues and adjust the park walk to your lunch finishing time.
Optional Extension: The Han River
If you still have energy and the weather is suitable, use our Han River picnic guide to plan a separate Ttukseom Hangang Park stop.
Check the journey to Jayang Station on Line 7 or the park’s exact entrance. Seoul Forest, Ttukseom Station and Ttukseom Hangang Park are different destinations; do not assume the names describe one location.
Rainy-Day Alternative
Reduce the outdoor walking and choose indoor stops with confirmed opening hours. The official D MUSEUM listing provides a starting point for researching an exhibition near Seoul Forest. Check the current exhibition, admission and booking rules separately.
One museum or exhibition plus a cafe is usually enough for a relaxed half day. Avoid adding an expensive ticket only because rain has interrupted your original plan.
Before You Go
Save your chosen addresses, check reservation requirements, wear comfortable shoes and leave time for queues. Avoid assuming that every cafe, shop or pop-up opens early.
